The cinematographic campus begins in Torremolinos
The cinematographic campus begins in Torremolinos, an encounter directed towards those who love the world of the seventh art, and will take place in between 28th of august and the 3rd of September.
The main responsibles for this prestigious encounter will be Dylan Moreno (executive producer of Marila Films) and Kike Mesa, as an example of his support and bed for culture and art.
John Tuturro is going to receive the award Luz de Andalucía during the celebration of the cinematographic campus of Torremolinos.
During the celebration of this campus, John Tuturro wil be given the award Luz de Andalucía. This award, composed of a wooden monolith with three crystal voids containing, respectively, sand from the Atlantic Ocean, Andalusian wine and Mediterranean Sea water, will symbolize the appreciation for the New Yorker´s great contribution to cinema.
John Tuturro has participated in a long list of movies, among the which we can underline: Five Corners, Do the Right Thing, , Miller’s Crossing,, Barton Fink, Quiz Show: the dilemma, Box of Moonlight, the great Lebowski, O Brother, Where Art Thou? and the secret window. On the other hand, his most important work as a director and screen writer is Mac with which he won the award Caméra Dór in Cannes.
On the other hand, the most characteristic goal of this campus is to teach new and veteran talents, whether they are actors or producers who want to dedicate their life to the world of cinema and TV or they already have, about the most innovative techniques and trends orientated to this world.
Also, this campus has an internship workshop, where students can put the knowledge they have acquired during the campus in practice.
The cinematographic campus has been taking place since 2003, and has been able to gather up great artists such as Antonio de la Torre, Sancho Gracia, Joaquín Oristrell, Agustín Almodóvar, Jack Sholder, Benito Zambrano, Brian Yuzna, Nacho Vigalondo, Pablo Berger, Gracia Querejeta o Jesús Franco, thus becoming, through time, a cultural reference in la Costa del Sol.
